Η φετινή διοργάνωση έχει θέμα:
Γενιά Αναγνωστών / Δημιουργοί Βιβλίων (GeneReaders_BookGenerators) και συνδέεται με το Έτος Φιλαναγνωσίας που έχει κηρύξει το ΕΛΙΒΙΠ για το 2026-27.
Στη φετινή έκθεση θα συμμετέχουν 318 εκθέτες (εκδότες και φορείς), ενώ ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζει και η παρουσία 30 εκδοτικών οίκων που συμμετέχουν για πρώτη φορά.
Θα πραγματοποιηθούν 330 εκδηλώσεις για ενήλικες και 106 για παιδιά και εφήβους, με την συμμετοχή 2.500 μαθητών, σε συντονισμένες εκδηλώσεις.

The Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture has officially presented the main thematic axes of the 22nd Thessaloniki International Book Fair, which will take place from Thursday, 7 May to Sunday, 10 May 2026, at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition and Congress Center (TIF-Helexpo). The central #theme of this year’s event, “A Generation of Readers / Creators of Books (GeneReaders_BookGenerators)”, aligns with the Year of Reading Promotion (2026–2027), as proclaimed by the Foundation. The thematic focus underscores the dynamic relationship between readership and authorship, as well as the role of emerging generations in shaping contemporary literary production. Α total of 318 exhibitors (including publishing houses and cultural institutions) are expected to participate, among which 30 publishing houses will be represented for the first time. The programme will feature 330 events for adult audiences and 106 events for children and adolescents, with the coordinated participation of approximately 2,500 students. The honoured country for 2026 is Bulgaria, whose presence is anticipated to foster intercultural dialogue and highlight literary exchange within the broader regional context.
