Ιδιαίτερη τιμή και βαθιά συγκίνηση προκάλεσε η παρουσία και η έμπρακτη στήριξη του Εξοχωτάτου Πρέσβη της Δημοκρατίας της Μολδαβίας στην Ελλάδα, και αγαπητού μου φίλου, κ. Andrei Popov. Η διαχρονική του προσήλωση στην ενίσχυση των σχέσεων φιλίας και συνεργασίας μεταξύ Ελλάδας και Μολδαβίας, καθώς και το ειλικρινές προσωπικό του ενδιαφέρον για τις πρωτοβουλίες των συλλόγων και της ομογένειας, αποτελούν φωτεινό παράδειγμα διπλωματικής ευθύνης και ανθρώπινης προσέγγισης. Η παρουσία του προσέδωσε ιδιαίτερο κύρος στην εκδήλωση και επιβεβαίωσε έμπρακτα ότι οι δεσμοί των δύο χωρών μας στηρίζονται σε κοινές αξίες, αμοιβαίο σεβασμό και γνήσια φιλία.

The ceremonial cutting of the New Year’s cake (Vasilopita) of the Moldovan–Greek Friendship Association “Alexander Ypsilantis,” which I had the honor of being invited to and attending, constituted a truly special evening filled with warmth, smiles, and a genuine spirit of friendship. In my capacity as President of the Hellenic–Moldovan Union, I feel great joy and honor in expressing our support and presence at such an impeccably organized and meaningful event, which highlighted in the best possible way the importance of cooperation and the shared cultural path of our two peoples. The atmosphere was exceptional, enriched by distinguished guests, an engaging program, and a profound sense of goodwill. Special mention must be made of the presence of many friends and associates of Mrs. Mariana Berescu, Mr. Kostas Moschidis, as well as other esteemed individuals who honored the event with their participation. Warm congratulations are due to the entire Association for its valuable work, and especially to the President of the Association, Mrs. Svetlana Lisagor Vergi, for her vision, dedication, and commitment to continuously strengthening the bonds of friendship and solidarity.
Particular honor and deep appreciation were occasioned by the presence and steadfast support of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Greece, and my esteemed friend, Mr. Andrei Popov. His long-standing dedication to the enhancement of friendly relations and cooperation between Greece and Moldova, as well as his sincere personal interest in the initiatives of associations and the diaspora, constitute a distinguished example of diplomatic responsibility combined with genuine human engagement. His presence conferred special prestige upon the event and served as tangible confirmation that the ties between our two countries are founded upon shared values, mutual respect, and sincere friendship.
Such initiatives and moments inspire optimism and remind us that tradition, cooperation, and human connection form the solid foundation for a new year marked by unity, hope, and creativity.
Ceremonia de tăiere a colacului tradițional de Anul Nou (Vasilopita) a Asociației de Prietenie Moldo-Elenă „Alexandru Ipsilanti”, la care am avut onoarea de a fi invitat și de a participa, a reprezentat o seară deosebită, plină de căldură, zâmbete și un autentic spirit de prietenie. În calitatea mea de Președinte al Uniunii Eleno-Moldovenești, îmi exprim profunda bucurie și onoare pentru susținerea și prezența noastră la un eveniment organizat impecabil, care a evidențiat în cel mai reușit mod importanța cooperării și a parcursului cultural comun al popoarelor noastre. Atmosfera a fost una excepțională, îmbogățită de invitați distinși, un program plăcut și o stare generală de cordialitate, iar o mențiune specială se cuvine prezenței numeroșilor prieteni și colaboratori ai doamnei Mariana Berescu, ai domnului Kostas Moschidis, precum și altor personalități de seamă care au onorat evenimentul prin participarea lor. Felicitări deosebite se cuvin întregii Asociații pentru activitatea sa valoroasă, precum și, în mod special, Președintei Asociației, doamna Svetlana Lisagor Vergi, pentru viziunea, dedicarea și angajamentul cu care consolidează constant legăturile de prietenie și solidaritate.
O onoare aparte și o profundă apreciere au fost prilejuite de prezența și sprijinul activ al Excelenței Sale, Ambasadorul Republicii Moldova în Grecia, și bunului meu prieten, domnul Andrei Popov. Devotamentul său constant față de consolidarea relațiilor de prietenie și cooperare dintre Grecia și Republica Moldova, precum și interesul său personal sincer pentru inițiativele asociațiilor și ale diasporei, reprezintă un exemplu remarcabil de responsabilitate diplomatică îmbinată cu o autentică dimensiune umană. Prezența sa a conferit un prestigiu deosebit evenimentului și a confirmat în mod concret faptul că relațiile dintre cele două țări ale noastre se bazează pe valori comune, respect reciproc și prietenie sinceră.
Astfel de inițiative și momente ne insuflă optimism și ne reamintesc că tradiția, cooperarea și legătura umană constituie fundamentul solid pentru un nou an caracterizat prin unitate, speranță și creație.
